The 41-year-old actress has signed on to reprise her role as Selene in 'Underworld: Next Generation' alongside Theo James.

Kate Beckinsale has signed on to star in upcoming movie "Underworld: Next Generation", according to The Hollywood Reporter. The fifth installment of the "Underworld" film series will be directed by Anna Foerster. This is the first time a woman will direct the female-led action horror franchise.
The movie script is written by Cory Goodman. While the plot details have not been unveiled yet, the site said it would focus on "a new and younger generation of vampires and werewolves who are locked in a seemingly never-ending battle between supernatural races." The movie will be shot in Prague in October for a 2016 release.
It was previously reported that Theo James, who appeared briefly in 2012's "Underworld: Awakening", would also reprise his role as the vampire David.
Anna has directed numerous episodes of "Criminal Minds", "Unforgettable" and "Outlander". As a cinematographer, she worked in "Alien: Resurrection", "The Day After Tomorrow", "Aeon Flux" and "10,000 B.C.". In the visual arts, meanwhile, her film credits included "Independence Day", "Godzilla" and "Stuart Little 2".
