Director Brad Bird has confirmed that "The Incredibles 2" will be his next film. Speaking to Collider while promoting "Tomorrowland", Brad is asked if the long-awaited sequel to 2004's "The Incredibles" will be his next project. "Yeah it feels like it to me, yeah," he replies.

When asked about status update on the writing process of "Incredibles 2", Brad replies, "Oh yeah, I have pages, a bunch of pages. I had a lot of ideas for the original 'Incredibles' that I didn't get a chance to use, that I like. I have things that I wanted to pursue a little bit and there wasn't enough time in 'Incredibles'."

"There are new ideas I have, and I think there are enough of those together to make an interesting movie," the "Ratatouille" director added, "I'm just focusing on getting 'Tomorrowland' out into the world and playing with the 'Incredibles' sandbox again."

In the interview, Brad says he has talked to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy about the possibility of directing one of "Star Wars" movies. "Well Kathy and I have discussed the possibility of-I mean she's basically saying this is a very large sandbox and other people can play in it. I was particularly attracted to the idea of picking up and-J.J. got very excited about the notion of shaping the next trilogy, and that idea was interesting to me too. But I kind of-I'm writing a sequel to 'The Incredibles' and I can't think too much farther beyond that. I have other things I want to do as well."

"The Incredibles", featuring the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Jason Lee and Samuel L. Jackson, earned $631.4 million worldwide. The Disney-Pixar animated superhero movie won two Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Best Sound Editing. It was Pixar's first feature flick to win multiple Oscars.
