Movie

Paul Rudd is confirmed to return as Ant-Man, William Hurt to play Thunderbolt, and Sebastian Stan to reprise his role as the Winter Soldier in the third Cap movie.

AceShowbiz - "Captain America: Civil War" announces cast members and official synopsis as production kicks off at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. After his debut in "Ant-Man" on July 17, Paul Rudd will join the Avengers in the third Cap movie. William Hurt is added as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.

The film returns Chris Evans as the titular hero along with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as War Machine, and Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch.

It also includes Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Emily VanCamp as Agent 13, and Frank Grillo as Crossbones. Daniel Bruhl and Martin Freeman are among the cast members as well, but their roles are kept under wraps. Rumors suggest Bruhl will play villainous Baron Zemo and Freeman will portray U.S. government agent Everett Ross who is expected to return in the Black Panther solo movie.

Noticeably missing from the lineup are Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor). Meanwhile, waiting to be announced sometime soon is the casting for new Spider-Man rumored to be introduced in the third Cap movie.

The film will pick up where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

"Civil War" is scheduled for May 6, 2016 Stateside. Anthony and Joe Russo return to direct the pic from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.
