Noel Gallagher considers Zayn Malik's decision to leave One Direction stupid. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the former Oasis guitarist called the 22-year-old singer "f**king idiot" for wanting to be "a normal 22-year-old" while he could be "f**king anything that moves and gettin' paid half a million dollars a week."

Gallagher also mocked the reason Malik gave everyone when he announced his departure back in March. "The greatest quote was -- I laughed out loud when I read it -- 'I just want to be a normal 22-year-old.' Pfft. Who wants to be a normal 22-year-old?!" he said. "You want to be a normal 22-year-old? Have you met any normal 22-year-olds? They're f**kin' s**t-for-brains."

He continued, "I'll say this to you, Zayn: 'You might have wanted to be a normal 22-year-old, but you won't want to be a normal 25-year-old.' "

In the interview, Gallagher admitted that he had never met Malik before, but he ran into another 1D member Harry Styles multiple times as some parties. "Harry's not got a great deal to say for himself, but he's a good lad," he said, before advising Malik to find "a good accountant because life is very f**kin' long."

While Malik is still trying to be a normal dude, his former bandmates are currently working on their fifth studio effort, their first without him. Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, who are taking a break from their world tour, will make their first official appearance as a foursome on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" on May 14.

"James is one of our best mates, and we're so proud of the massive success his show is having in America. We're currently working on a few surprises with James and his team that we hope our fans will enjoy. It's going to be a great night!" Payne teased in a statement issued on Tuesday, May 5.
