"Pretty Little Liars" is going to get darker this summer as hinted in the first promo for the upcoming season 6. Set to Mona's creepy rendition of "Hush Little Baby", the video sees her rocking back and forth in what looks like a concrete cell or basement. She is apparently separated from the other girls.
Meanwhile, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, forced to follow A's game, are wearing gowns while looking for their way out. In some other scenes, Aria is seen rocking a pink streak, possibly to relieve the night Ali disappeared.
The girls find an inscription carved in the back of a closet, "He's going to kill me - M." Ali somehow manages to get out of jail as she is seen walking in the woods alone. There's also a glimpse of Toby pointing a gun.
Janel Parrish, who plays Mona, recently teased, "It's going to get dark." She told E! News, "We are going to be punished for our actions for trying to escape from Charles and once we do escape, there are going to be some serious repercussions and scares, emotional as well as physical...they're all going to be messed up in different ways."
"PLL" season 6 premieres Tuesday, June 2 at 8/7c on ABC Family.
