Amidst rumors he's hospitalized after being abused by his manager, the blues legend tells his fans that he's currently in 'home hospice care at [his] residence in Las Vegas.'

AceShowbiz - B.B. King is in hospice care at his home in Las Vegas. The "Blues Boys Tune" singer posted a note on his website on Friday, May 1, "I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas. Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers."

Earlier in the day, TMZ reported that B.B. was hospitalized after his daughter Patty called police over elder abuse claims. Patty, who lives with King in Las Vegas home, discovered her father's urine was orange and he was not eating. She wanted to take her father to hospital but his manager Laverne Toney, who has power attorney of the singer, refused.

Patty then called police to settle dispute with Laverne over whether he needed to be hospitalized. Responding officers then called paramedics, who agreed the singer needed to be checked out by doctors. B.B. was sent to a Vegas hospital and Patty said her father suffered a minor heart attack. She sent a photo, allegedly taken during his brief stay, of his father lying on the hospital bed.

Las Vegas police officer Jesse Roybal confirmed to The Associated Press that an ambulance had taken someone from B.B.'s address "following what was characterized as a dispute over medical care."

Patty said she's in meeting with her lawyer to take away power of attorney from Laverne.

Back in November, Patty and her boyfriend filed a police report, claiming elder abuse and burglary. They accused Laverne and her assistant of "fleecing $20-$30 million from B.B., withholding his medications while on tour, and jacking several Rolexes and a ring valued at $250k."
