Brandon Flowers travels back to the '80s in the music video for his new song "Lonely Town". Hitting the web on Monday, April 27, the clip follows a young lady played by "The Vampire Diaries" star Penelope Mitchell as she dances alone around the house while listening to the song on a Walkman.
She busts out some moves while cooking pop corn in the kitchen and taking out the trash. Later, it's revealed that viewers aren't the only ones that watch her dance. Someone, who may or may not be Flowers, has also been watching outside the window.
"Lonely Town" is the latest preview of The Killers' frontman's upcoming sophomore solo set "The Desired Effect". Produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, the follow-up to 2010's "Flamingo" is slated for release on May 19 via Island Records. It has also been preceded by lead single "Can't Deny My Love" and another track called "Still Want You".
Flowers is currently touring Europe in support of his new project. He will bring the tour to North America in July.
