While promoting his new show 'The Runner-Up', the 'American Idol' alum rants to Howard Stern about Rep. Renee Ellmers who defeated him in North Carolina's Second District congress.

Clay Aiken trashed his former congressional opponent Rep. Renee Ellmers in a radio interview with Howard Stern on Monday, April 27. Clay was promoting his upcoming show "The Runner-Up", a reference both to his election and his second-place finish in the season 2 of "American Idol".
While talking about his show, he told Howard about Renee, "She's a b***h!" Howard who was surprised asked Clay about the reason he called him "b***h". Rather than answering the question, the 36-year-old singer added, "She's an idiot. And I think her self-esteem is just in the floor. Under the floor." He later admitted, "I'm not a fan of the person I ran against in Congress, obviously."
Clay also called Renee an "old snatch" when Howard brought topic of Rick Lazio who was considered aggressive when running for a Senate seat against Hilary Clinton. "We talked about that this year during my campaign, because there was concern during the debate that I would come across as condescending which, if you watched the debate, couldn't be further from the truth. [Renee] was a condescending old snatch," he said.
When asked if he would make another political run, Clay replied, "Not right now. Probably before six years. You know, within the next decade, I will again."
Renee's representative Blair Ellis said in a statement that the insults were made to help Clay to promote his show. "Mr. Aiken's crude language and disrespectful demeanor towards the Congresswoman has proven to the American people why he is a runner up," Blair claimed.
