Gracing the cover of Glamour U.K. latest issue and serving as its guest editor, Taylor Swift opened up about how she felt having her love life becoming the target of public mock. "It's kind of a sad way I got there though, being shamed into it," so she said of comedians using her past relationships as jokes material at awards shows. "What else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone's calling you boy crazy, making jokes about you at awards shows? That's public humiliation. And I don't think its fair."

Swift has had high-profile romances in the past with the likes of Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, and John Mayer, which were said to have inspired some of her hit songs. She last dated One Direction's Harry Styles before breaking up back in January 2013.

Despite rumors of her dating DJ Calvin Harris, Swift admitted, "There is no easy way for me to engage with romance. I'm really busy, so I can't." She continued, "And it's a good thing that I feel really independent and I feel that my friends are all I need."

And unlike any other singers in the industry, the 25-year-old entertainer admitted she always tried to stay away from the overtly sexual images. Regarding the issue, she told the publication, "You know, everybody has different priorities as an artist ... Every woman has different things that make them feel strong and powerful. For me, I don't have any need or urge to write about overt sexuality. It just never occurs to me. I appreciate girls who sing about whatever they want, because that's what they want to sing about." She, furthermore, claimed to be feeling comfortable in her own skin and doesn't place much priority on "looking cool."
