Daredevil isn't done fighting crime. Netflix has given a second season order to the Marvel drama series starring Charlie Cox following the 13-episode first season release on April 10. The new season is slated to debut in 2016.

Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight, however, is not returning for the second season. He will be replaced by writers Doug Petrie ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") and Marco Ramirez ("Sons of Anarchy").

DeKnight addresses his exit in a statement. "While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch," he says. "They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward."

"Daredevil" series follows Matt Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer who uses his other senses to fight crime at night. Also starring Vincent D'Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Rosario Dawson, the show has received praises from critics.
