Kanye West made a surprise appearance on the second weekend of Coachella. The controversial rapper attended the festival on Saturday night, April 18 to play a mini-concert during The Weeknd's set.

The Weeknd first performed a cover of "808's & Heartbreak" hit "Heartless" before West walked onto the stage while rhyming "Can't Tell Me Nothing". 'Ye went on to perform his other songs including "I Don't Like", "Black Skinhead" and "All Day".

West's surprise performance came while fans were eagerly waiting for his new album "So Help Me God". Still having no official release date, the follow-up to 2013's "Yeezus" is expected to come out later this year.

West wasn't the only star who played a surprise show at this week's Coachella. During his own set, DJ R3hab brought out Ciara who joined him for his remix to her "I Bet". The R&B diva, who's readying her new album "Jackie", also debuted a brand new track called "Baby Get Up" at the show.

Also coming as surprise guests were Jack U a.k.a. Diplo and Skrillex, Rae Sremmurd, DMX and AlunaGeorge who invaded DJ Snake's set.
