Michael Malarkey who plays Enzo says Dobrev's final episode is 'kind of bittersweet,' adding that 'it's a lovely way to say goodbye.'

AceShowbiz - Nina Dobrev has been filming her final scenes on "The Vampire Diaries". Capturing the moments in some pictures, the actress took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes photos from her last week of filming the CW drama series.
One picture shows one of Elena's final scenes with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). The on-again/off-again couple seems to share an emotional moment together. "Behind The Scenes - shooting a Damon&Elena scene w Smolderhalder aka @IanSomerhalder #TVDFamily," so she captioned the pic.
Dobrev also posted an on-set picture of her and Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan. She wrote along with the image, "Just finished filming my last Stefan and Elena scene with the amazing @paulvedere /@paulwesley Crazy. So many emotions. I'm lost for words."
The 26-year-old brunette has also filmed her last scene with Candice Accola (Caroline) and Katerina Graham (Bonnie). She admitted in a group photo with her female co-stars, "Ok. Officially a mess. No hiding it anymore. Today has been a day filled with farewells.. I still have 2 more days of shooting before I wrap TVD. But it's officially a wrap on Caroline&Elena&Bonnie. Finished filming with these two beautiful, funny, sweet, sassy, amazingly talented and lovely ladies. Love you with all my heart and soul forever and always... #TVDFamily."
Tears welled up in her eyes in another picture, which she captioned with "I feel like a blow fish, so puffy and bloated from crying all day. Tears of joy&sadness. Bittersweet. So many memories. What a fun ride... #TVDFamily... Beyond lucky and grateful to have had this experience and to have you in my life. Like CandyCola likes to say/her go to phrase... #Blessed."
Dobrev is exiting the hit teen drama series at the end of the sixth season. Executive producer Caroline Dries recently told TVLine that Elena's ending would be "hopeful" and "satisfying."
Co-star Michael Malarkey, who plays Enzo, recalled Dobrev "got choked up a couple of times" during the table read through the last episode. He went on telling Us Weekly that her last episode would be "definitely sad, but definitely kind of bittersweet because we see a lot of her relationships with the characters. It's a lovely way to say goodbye."
