The San Antonio Spurs players have formed a rock band. Under the moniker Spuran Spuran, the team's Matt Bonner, Patty Mills, Aron Baynes and Kawhi Leonard on Tuesday, April 14 released their debut single "Spurs!" along with its hilarious music video.

For the clip, the four athletes don '80s rockers-inspired outfits and wigs while playing their respective instrument. Fronted by Bonner, the group has Baynes on keyboard guitar, Mills on guitar and Leonard on drums. Also on the band is Spurs' mascot the Coyote who plays the keyboard.

The video was produced, directed and edited by Bonner, who also masterminded the project and claimed they did it just to entertain Spurs' fans. "I directed it and got all of the costumes and props together," he told CBS Sports. "My wife and her friend helped with the makeup and the Spurs camera guys shot the whole thing."

"It only took an hour and a half to shoot the whole thing but I edited it and that took me forever to do. It was a total team effort though. The guys were great sports and we had a blast shooting it. We did it mainly to entertain our fans and make them laugh."

Meanwhile, it was Bonner's brother who came up with the band's name which is a nod to Duran Duran. "It was just a funny play on words and fit the vibe," he added. Of how he convinced the normally quiet Leonard to get involved, Bonner said he just simply asked him to join the band. "He really enjoyed it," he claimed. "We all did! We mainly did it just to make our fans smile."
