AceShowbiz - Josh Gad took to Instagram on Tuesday, April 14 to share the first photo of "Beauty and the Beast (2017)" cast. In the photo, Josh playfully posed alongside Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans and Kevin Kline.
Josh, who wore glasses and a hat, Emma, and Luke could be seen smiling widely while Dan and Kevin made funny faces. The "Frozen (2013)" voice actor captioned the shot, " Can't wait for you to be our guest."
Dan will play the titular role the Beast or the Prince, Emma will play Belle, Luke will star as Gaston, Josh will portray Gaston's sidekick LeFou, while Kevin will play Belle's father Maurice. Additionally, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Emma Thompson, Audra McDonald and Ian McKellen will portray Plumette, Mrs. Potts, Garderobe and Cogsworth respectively.
Directed by Bill Condon with a script from Stephen Chbosky & Evan Spiliotopoulos, and produced by David Hoberman & Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films, the drama-fantasy flick is set to be released in the U.S. on March 17, 2017.
Eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken will score the film. It will feature new recordings of the original songs and some new songs written by Menken and Sir Tim Rice.
