Two female scribes are being considered to write the script for the "Captain Marvel" movie. According to new reports, Nicole Perlman who was behind the massively successful "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Meg LeFauve who co-wrote Pixar's upcoming "Inside Out" are currently in talks with Marvel for the project dubbed the studio's first female-driven superhero movie.

"Captain Marvel" will center on the U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers whose DNA was fused with that of an alien after an accident, giving her superhuman strength and even the ability to fly. The film still has no director attached, but there have been reports saying that Marvel is looking for a female filmmaker for the position.

Set to be produced by Kevin Feige, the movie hasn't found an actress to play the title character either, although it is already scheduled to be released in the U.S. on July 6, 2018.
