A&E has purchased the rights to "Let the Right One In" for television. "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis and writer Brandon Boyce ("Apt Pupil") are tapped to adapt the critically-acclaimed Swedish horror film for late 2015 launch.

The original film directed by Tomas Alfredson was released in 2008. Based on John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel of the same title, it follows a bullied young boy who befriends a vampire child. It won multiple recognitions at film awards.

An English-language remake starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz was released two years later. Retitled "Let Me In", it was directed by Matt Reeves ("Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", "Cloverfield").

According to The Hollywood Reporter, A&E acquired the rights to the horror story after a bidding war with Showtime.
