Simpson shared his cover of Marley's hit while he was working hard on his new EP "Free" with writer/producer Cisco Adler. Having been preceded by "Flower" and "New Problem", the project is scheduled to come out on April 7.

"It's all very organic, raw and real and straight from me and naturally flowing," Simpson said of the EP in a recent interview with MTV. "I just feel at peace now."

"For him at this point, he's made a bunch of hits but it's time to make a pure, strong record that he can live with for the rest of his life and play for the rest of his life," Cisco added of collaborating with the Gold Coast, Queensland-born teen. "This is a career artist; this isn't a flash in the pan."
