Ed Westwick's glorious period on "Gossip Girl" might be over by the time the series ended in 2012, but he isn't quitting TV just yet and has just secured a major part on ABC's drama pilot "L.A. Crime". The show, written by Steven Baigelman and directed by Tom Shankland, "follows two detectives as they track Kent and Betty, a Bonnie & Clyde-like serial-killing team on the Sunset Strip in the '80s."

Westwick is on board playing the role of Kent, "a twisted serial killer who preys on young women who have come to L.A. to become famous." He will share screen with Erika Christensen of TV series "Parenthood" who will be portraying Betty.

Getting into the shoes of the two detectives in the potential true crime procedural are Gabriel Luna and Adam Rothenberg. Also joining the cast ensemble among others are Taissa Farmiga, Darrell Brit-Gibson, and Karolina Wydra.
