Windell Middlebrooks, the star of "Body of Proof" who is best known for playing the straight-talking delivery man in Miller High Life's commercial, died on Monday morning, March 9 at the age of 36. His family confirmed the sad news in a statement posted on his Facebook account on Tuesday.
The statement read, "The Middlebrooks, with sorrowed hearts, announce the passing of a young, black star. Windell took his final bow and with great joy exited stage left in the early morning of March 9th, 2015. It was Windell's biggest wish that his final scene not be lived on social media."
"Further details will be forthcoming once the family members plans have been finalized. At this time we have no further information for the press and ask that space is given to his family and friends in their time of mourning," the statement added.
According to TMZ, Windell was found unconscious at his San Fernando Valley home on Monday morning. He was then rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The L.A. County Office of Coroner told E! News that Windell passed away at Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center at 11:52 A.M. No cause of death was provided.
Besides "Body of Proof", Windell also made some TV appearances on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", "The Suite Life on Deck", "Cougar Town", "Scrubs", "Parks and Recreation", "Entourage", "Hannah Montana" and most recently "Mighty Med".

Windell's fellow Disney stars also paid tribute to him on Twitter. Debby Ryan posted, "Rest in peace Windell Middlebrooks, our 'Kirby'. you were a light to the entire Suite Life crew and cast and we'll forever love you." Bradley Steven Perry wrote, "Rest in peace to one of my favorite characters on Mighty Med, Windell Middlebrooks. You'll be missed, my friend." Andy Schwartz tweeted, "RIP Windell Middlebrooks. Met him on #Scrubs and he joined our #MightyMed family as Agent Blaylock. So sad to hear of his passing."
