The 'Girls Chase Boys' singer announces she has amicably parted ways with Greg Laswell after nearly four years of marriage.

Ingrid Michaelson and her husband Greg Laswell are heading to splitville. "After careful consideration, and with mutual respect, we have decided to separate," the couple says in a joint statement. "We ask for privacy as we navigate this time in our lives."
The singer, 35, and the music engineer, 40, parted ways after nearly four years of marriage. They "have been living apart for months," a source spills to PEOPLE. "Even though they're going their own ways, they continue to support and respect each other."
The pair tied the knot in August 2011. They have no children but share a border terrier named Shep Proudfoot. The singer who has just recovered from serious throat and stomach problems said she poured out her emotion into her songs. "I let that bleed over into the recording process," she told Boston Globe.
