The rapper/actor says that Childish Gambino 'is like a period of [his] art time that should come to a close' during an interview to promote his new film 'The Lazarus Effect'.

Donald Glover has been known as Childish Gambino in the hip-hop industry for years. However, it may change in the future as he revealed in an interview on "Today" show that he planned to quit rapping under the moniker.
Glover, who visited the show to promote his new film "The Lazarus Effect", said, "I guess Childish Gambino is like a period of my art time, and I want to have periods in my life, so I feel like Childish Gambino is a period that should come to a close." He added, "I like endings."
As Chidish Gambino, Glover has released two studio albums, 2011's "Camp" and 2013's "Because the Internet". The latter was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2015 Grammy's earlier this month, but it lost to Eminem's "MMLP2". He also dropped a mixtape/EP called "STN MTN" last year.
"The Lazarus Effect" also stars Mark Duplass and Olivia Wilde among others. The horror movie is opening in U.S. theaters on February 27.
