Rodgers shared the news on Twitter on Saturday February 21. "Daft Punk made a touching film for my new record-Here's a still from it #SoulTrain #disco #funk @nilerodgers teaser," he wrote, captioning an image of Daft Punk's signature helmets with a message that read, "We are sending you this transmission to thank you for all your amazing songs."
A fan then asked him when the film would be released, to which Rodgers replied, "Within the next few weeks."
The new CHIC album will be the band's first in 23 years. It's due out in June via Warner Bros. Records. It will be led by the single "I'll Be There" that Rodgers has just previewed on his website before being officially released on March 20.
