Kanye West's new album is almost finished. The rapper revealed the current status of the highly-anticipated effort and what to expect from it during an interview on Power 105.1's "Breakfast Club" on Friday, February 20.

According to him, the yet-to-be-titled album is now 80|percent| done. "I'm trying to get it finished. I'm trying to get it to the people as soon as possible," he said before adding that he might pull a Beyonce Knowles by putting it out in a "surprise" fashion.

He then explained how the upcoming LP would be different from its predecessor, 2013's "Yeezus". "[It's gonna be] bars, songs, cookout music that just feels good," he continued. "My last album was a protest to music, I was like 'I'm gonna take my ball and go home.' This album is embracing the music, joy. Being of service to the people. I just hope people like it and enjoy it."

West also talked about a song called "Wolves" featuring Sia Furler and Vic Mensa that he recently debuted. He revealed that "Wolves" was originally the title of a a joint album he might be doing with Drake in the future.

"The 'Wolves' song came from a conversation that me and Drake had where we was gonna do an album together, and the album was called Wolves," he said. "I just put it out in the ether, in the world. If y'all don't like it, you can send it right back! [laughs] I asked him, and we talked about it, and he said, 'Yeah, we're gonna do it.' He was sending beats back and forth. I got this one record with Young Thug that I think I'm gonna put on the Rihanna album."
