The five new series which have received the greenlight on Amazon include 'The Man in the High Castle', 'Mad Dogs' and children's programs.

AceShowbiz - Amazon is renewing "Mozart in the Jungle" for a second season and greenlighting five new original series. On Wednesday, February 18, the company announced the news, saying that the second season of the classical music-themed series starring Gael Garcia Bernal, which debuted in December, would premiere in early 2016 exclusively on Prime Instant Video. Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman and Paul Weitz serve as executive producers.
"The first season of 'Mozart in the Jungle' was a big hit with our customers and I'm thrilled that we're able to produce a second season," Roy Price, Vice President of Amazon Studios, said in a statement. "Roman, Jason, and Paul brought viewers into this rarely-seen world of the symphony. I know fans of the series will be in for treat when the second season premieres early next year."
The Wednesday announcement additionally mentioned the five titles getting the greenlight. The first title is "The Man in the High Castle". Starring Alexa Davalos and Rufus Sewell among others, the project based on Philip K. Dick's novel sees what it would be like if the Allied Powers had lost WWII.
The others are dark comedy "Mad Dogs", docu-series "The New Yorker Presents" featuring Alan Cumming and Brett Gelman as well as two children's programs "Just Add Magic" and "The Stinky & Dirty Show". The series will be available to Prime members in the U.S., U.K. and Germany later this year and in 2016.
Amazon gives full season orders following feedback from customers. "During the latest pilot season, Amazon customers made 'The Man in the High Castle' our most watched pilot ever," Prize explained. "These new series, including our first docu-series, are some of our most ambitious to date and I'm looking forward to their premieres in the future."
