"Just Add Magic" (for children ages 6-11) Based on Cindy Callaghan's young adult book of the same name and adapted by Joanna Lewis & Kristine Songco (Sullivan & Son, Fairly Odd Parents), "Just Add Magic" is a single-camera live-action that centers on Kelly Quinn and her two BFFs, Darbie and Hannah, who stumble upon her grandmother's mysterious cookbook in the attic and discover it has some interesting recipes. The Shut'em Up Shortcake actually silences Kelly's pesky little brother and when the Healing Hazelnut Tart quickly heals Darbie's ankle, the girls discover they have the power of magic.

In the season premiere of Just Add Magic, when it's revealed that this ancient cookbook may not have shown up by accident, Kelly and her friends attempt to use the recipes to release Kelly's grandmother from a powerful curse, and soon realize that every recipe they make comes with a hefty price. As they work together to uncover more clues around Grandma's mystery, they learn that they can't always cook their way out of every problem. The season finds the trio unraveling the mystery in how to save Kelly's grandmother, but along the way they serve up magical dishes that are more than just sweet confections: a Lost and Found-ue spell to bring the neighbors' dog back, a Bitter Truth Truffle that makes Kelly's mother become excessively honest and Mind Peering Peppermints to learn more about who cursed Grandma.

In season two, the girls' Last-Ditch Layer Cake breaks every spell in town which miraculously brings Grandma Quinn (Dee Wallace, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial) back to her normal self, however it also brings back an old enemy... Chuck Hankins. Chuck disappeared when he was a teenager, but when he returns 50 years later, he hasn't aged a day. When Chuck begins to meddle with the girls' lives, they must put aside their summer of fun in order to save the magic from falling into the wrong hands. As the girls begin to investigate, they learn that Chuck isn't just an ordinary troublemaker. In fact, he's capable of much more than they could ever imagine. Chuck is creating his own magic cookbook and may be seeking revenge on the people who spelled him years ago. His master plan will eventually put one of the trio in grave danger unless Kelly, Hannah and Darbie can find a way to defeat Chuck once and for all.
