A "Family Feud" contestant may have blurted out a weird answer that won't be forgotten for a long time. When host Steve Harvey asked two contestants to "name something a doctor might pull out of a person," Darci Circuit immediately hit the buzzer and shouted, "Gerbil."
Harvey was stunned and appeared to lose for words for a few seconds, while Darci, embarrassed by her own answer, added, "I didn't say that! I didn't say that!" Her opponent couldn't help laughing. "I heard about something like that once," she defended herself. "Yes, yes, yes you said it," Steve said. "First thing, BAM! Gerbil! Just like that!"
Darci's answer may not seem to make sense, but she wasn't lying about hearing a story about a gerbil being pulled out of a person before. There was an old rumor saying that Richard Gere had a to have a gerbil removed from his rectum after a sex game went awry, though it was never confirmed or denied. This could be what crossed Darci's mind the first time she heard the question.
