The 'American Idol' alum says she considered doing more charity work if she really had to give up on singing after losing her voice.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson opened up about her difficult pregnancy seven months after giving birth to daughter River Rose. In a new interview with ET Canada, the former "American Idol" winner revealed that she suffered many complications and, at one point, was convinced her career in music industry was over when she lost her voice.

She recalled getting frustrated over her vocal loss and how she dealt with it. "Afterwards was the part where I literally had a moment where I cried and drank wine all day," she said.

"I was like, 'Oh God, I'm not going to be a singer anymore.' I was bawling to my husband and completely hammered, just going, 'Oh my God, it's over. I don't know what I'm going to do I guess I could do more charity work.' I didn't know what I was going to do," she added.

Fortunately, Clarkson got back her golden pipes. She's now even readying a comeback album that she plans for release on March 3 via RCA Records. Called "Piece by Piece", the follow-up to 2011's "Stronger" is led by "Heartbeat Song". A music video for the song is coming out on Thursday, February 5.

To tease the forthcoming visuals, the 32-year-old star has dropped a preview on Twitter. The 14-second sneak-peek opens with a girl crying in front of the mirror before it shows some couples holding hands and sharing kisses in public places. Clarkson is also featured in the clip, looking gorgeous as she sings against a pink and purple background.
