Amy Schumer hides behind a book shelf to surprise Anna Kendrick in the first promo for 2015 MTV Movie Awards. Arriving online on Thursday, January 29, the video sees the comedian speaking to the "Pitch Perfect" star who looks uncomfortable with Schumer's over-friendly attitude.
The video starts with Kendrick walking into the room while speaking on the phone. The Comedy Central star surprises her and declares that she and Kendrick are best friends forever, but Kendrick doesn't really know her and has to check the internet for Schumer's name.
Midway through the video, Schumer asks if Kendrick has connection to Kendrick Lamar, prompting the star of "The Last 5 Years" to give her a lesson about first name. During the awkward meeting, Schumer also tells Kendrick that she's hosting the upcoming annual event and the "Into the Woods" star guesses it is because "Chelsea Handler said no." At the end of the video, Schumer suggests they play her interpretation of cups which doesn't have anything to do with singing.
The 2015 MTV Movie Awards takes place on April 12 at 8 P.M. ET.
