Selena Gomez channels her inner bad girl for her new movie "The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving". The former Disney darling was photographed smoking a cigarette on the set of the movie which just kicked off the shooting in Atlanta, Ga. on Tuesday, January 27.

The "The Heart Wants What It Wants" songstress rocked a maroon leather jacket and gray skinny jeans while a black messenger bag hung across her shoulder. She was leaning against an ice box by a gas station.

Gomez took to her Instagram to share a picture with her co-stars Paul Rudd and Craig Roberts. "Hi. This is the Fundamentals of Caregiving. Watch us in a theater soon. Well let us shoot, edit, hopefully not re-shoot, then release it," she captioned the image.

The drama film written and directed by Rob Burnett is based on Jonathan Evison's novel of the same name. It follows Ben Benjamin (Rudd), who enrolls in a caregiving class after suffering an incredible amount of loss in his life. He tends to Trevor (Roberts), who suffers from muscular dystrophy.

Gomez, meanwhile, plays Dot, an outspoken young woman full of sass, who hitches a ride with the pair during a road trip. Trevor develops a crush on Dot because of her straightforwardness and lack of embarrassment.

The movie currently has no release date.
