'Rings' Gets Release Date, New 'Paranormal Activity' and 'Friday the 13th' Are Rescheduled

'Rings', which is a reboot of 'The Ring', is set for release in November, while the new 'Paranormal Activity' and 'Friday the 13th' are pushed back.

AceShowbiz - Paramount has announced new dates for its horror releases. On Tuesday, January 27, it was revealed that "Rings", the reboot of "The Ring", would hit theaters in the U.S. on November 13. The studio's other projects, the new "Paranormal Activity" and "Friday the 13th" reboot are also rescheduled.

"Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension", which previously was set to be released on March 13, 2015, is now pushed back to October 23, 2015. "Friday the 13th (2016)" is out on May 13, 2016. It originally was targeted for release on November 13, 2015.

The first American version of "The Ring" was released in 2002 with Naomi Watts as the lead actress. The upcoming "Rings" features Matilda Lutz who apparently will be the recipient of the scary videotape. F. Javier Gutierrez directs the movie with script by Aviva Goldsman, David Loucka and Jacon Aaron Estes. Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing.
