Stephen Amell who worked with Shahlavi on 'Arrow' has paid tribute on Twitter after news broke out that the 42-year-old martial artist was found dead January 14 at his L.A. home.

Darren Shahlavi, an English actor who landed a role of Kano on web series "Mortal Kombat: Legacy", has passed away at 42. The martial artist was found dead January 14 at his L.A. home, his agent has confirmed.
The cause of death has not been known and the L.A. County Coroner is conducting toxicology tests. TMZ, however, reports that he died of an apparent overdose. Law enforcement sources tell the site that it appears that he overdosed on prescription meds.
Shahlavi, who had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, appeared as a genie hunter on "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" and as Constantine Drakon in the pilot for The CW's "Arrow".
Stephen Amell, who plays the title character on "Arrow", has taken to Twitter to express his condolences. "RIP Darren Shahlavi. 1st guy I ever fought on Arrow. He was a great dude & a patient, thoughtful partner. Fight looked good because of him," he wrote.
