Sylvester Stallone has taken a selfie with a group of tourists atop the famous "Rocky" steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. One of the tourists, Peter Rowe, told the Associated Press on Tuesday, January 20 that he and his two friends had just finished scaling the staircase when they met Sylvester on Saturday.
Peter shared, "[Sylvester] said to us, 'Man, you guys are fast. You're making me look bad!' " The 68-year-old actor then posed for a selfie for them. In the photo, the star of "The Expendables" was seen putting up one fist. According to Peter, Sylvester told them, "Look tough, guys!"
Peter said he and his friends never saw famous person during their time in L.A. "What are the chances of meeting him, that celebrity, right there?" he told the site, adding that it was an "unreal experience."
Sylvester made the staircase before the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art famous when his character Rocky Balboa used it as a part of his training regimen in "Rocky". Thousand of tourists now visit the steps each year to recreate the run and to take photos with a Rocky statue, which was originally used as a prop in "Rocky III".
Sylvester is in Philadelphia filming the new installment of "Rocky" movies "Creed". Directed by Ryan Coogler, the movie also stars Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Andre Ward.
