The 'Touch My Body' hitmaker will perform her No. 1 singles and kick off her show at Caesar's Palace in the Sin City on May 6.

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey confirms Las Vegas gig. She broke the news on "The Ellen Degeneres Show", revealing that she would be doing a residency show at Caesar's Palace in the Sin City. "I'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesar's. This is a special event for me," she gushed.
Mariah is booked to fill in for Celine Dion, who has put her own show on hold to care for her ill husband, Rene Angelil. In addition, the show is meant as a companion to Mariah's upcoming compilation album. "I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this 'cause I'm gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album '#1's' and this is now the updated version with 18 of them," she said.
"Mariah Carey #1s" is scheduled for Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout May starting from May 6 to 24. The following month, she will perform on Mondays, Thursday, and Fridays beginning June 8 - 26. "It's a new chapter for me and I'm just excited about it," the chart-topping singer added.
Before the announcement was made, Mariah surprised her fans at Caesar's Palace by showing up as a hotel housekeeper. She excited them even more by giving them free tickets to her upcoming Vegas show. Ellen DeGeneres's audience in the studio got the same treat as well.
