The video was directed by David Dobkin who helmed Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn's 2005 film 'Wedding Crashers'.

AceShowbiz - Maroon 5 turns into wedding crashers in the official music video for their newest single "Sugar". Premiered on Vevo on Wednesday, January 14, the clip finds Adam Levine and his bandmates showing up at several wedding parties and surprising the brides, the grooms and their guests with impromptu performance of their song.

"We're gonna drive across L.A. and hit every wedding we possibly can. It's gonna be awesome," Levine, who looks dapper in a black tuxedo paired with a black bow tie, says at the beginning of the five-minute video before making his way to the first lucky couple's wedding.

The video was filmed late last month by director David Dobkin, the person behind Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn's film "Wedding Crashers". "It was an out of body experience," Levine explains the shoot in a press release. "I had no idea I would be affected by the overwhelming reactions we received from the couples and guests. Being able to create an unforgettable experience for several people was the highlight of it all."

"Sugar" is the third single to be lifted off Maroon 5's latest album, "V". It follows "Maps" which peaked at No. 6 on Billboard Hot 100 and "Animals" that did better on the chart, reaching No. 3.
