AceShowbiz - Elle Fanning reportedly is circling Nicolas Winding Refn's movie "The Neon Demon". TheWrap reports that the "Maleficent" star is in negotiations to take a part in the female-driven horror project after being announced in November. According to the news outlet, Fanning will portray "aspiring model who is caught in a world of beauty and demise."

"Elle Fanning is a super cool wonder woman and I look forward to going on a terrifying trip with her into 'The Neon Demon'," Fern was quoted as saying. He also serves as the writer alongside Mary Laws.

Fern once talked about the inspiration behind the pic. "One morning I woke and realized I was both surrounded and dominated by women," he said. "Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty. After making 'Drive' and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of 'The Neon Demon'. This movie is a manifestation of the strong ties between us and will lead to many more adventures."

The 16-year-old actress has already worked with big names like David Fincher ("The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"), J.J. Abrams ("Super 8") and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu ("Babel") among others. She next can be seen playing a transgender teen named Ray in "Three Generations" which also features appearance from Naomi Watts.
