AceShowbiz - The first teaser for Disney's "The Jungle Book" has arrived online in the form of a logo and a concept art. In the drawing, Mowgli is seen standing on the rocky ground near a waterfall with a tiger possibly Shere Khan behind him.
Mowgli, a man-cub raised in the jungle by a family of wolves, embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery when he's forced to abandon the only home he's ever known. Newcomer Neel Sethi is tapped to play the main character.
Directed by Jon Favreau with a script by Justin Marks ("Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li"), the new adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic story is set for October 9, 2015. The cast include Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong'o, and Christopher Walken.
A different adaptation "Jungle Book: Origins" developed by Warner Bros. has just been pushed back from October 21, 2016 to October 6, 2017. Andy Serkis sits behind the lens with a cast that is just as star-studded as that of the rival project at the Mouse House. Benedict Cumberbatch, Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Naomie Harris, and Jack Reynor are among them.
