Bill Cosby is hit with a new lawsuit filed on Wednesday, December 10 by a woman who accused him of drugging and assaulting her in the 1970s. Tamara Green said in the lawsuit filed in federal court in Massachusetts that Bill defamed her "good name and reputation" when he branded her a liar.

Tamara, who first came forward with the sexual assault claims against Bill in 2005, also alleged the comedian, through his lawyers and publicists, negligently ignored the truth and willfully made "an evil opinion of her." Her lawyer Joseph Cammarata said although the statute of limitations on the alleged sexual abuse has run out, the veracity of her claims would be the "central" to the defamation suit.

Tamara said during a press conference on Wednesday, "I want the truth of this matter to be finally established forevermore. I want the truth to be known. I want justice for myself and for my sisters in arms."

"I want it put to a jury. I want (there) to be a verdict. I want it to be ended finally. And I want my name restored. All of this time there's always been a slight doubt in everyone's mind as to the veracity of any of the allegations... because he's a rich and powerful and famous man," she added.

Joseph, meanwhile, said, "This lawsuit provides an opportunity for Ms. Green and Mr. Cosby to litigate the truth or falsity of the comments. It provides them an opportunity to have their day in court, to present evidence and allow a jury to determine who is telling the truth and who isn't. It's that simple."

Bill's lawyer Martin Singer has issued a statement responding to Tamara's lawsuit, "We are very confident that we will prevail in this proceeding and we will pursue claims against the attorneys who filed this action."

During an appearance on "Today" in 2005, Tamara claimed Bill drugged her during a lunch date in Los Angeles in the early 1970s. The comedian then allegedly took her home, undressed her and molested her. When leaving, he left two $100 bills on a coffee table.
