Tyler Perry and longtime girlfriend Gelila Bekele welcomed their first child on Sunday, November 30. Their son is named Aman, which means peace and represents "the true meaning of Thanksgiving and then, of course, the holiday season," People reported.

The proud parents made a birth announcement to family and close friends, asking them to donate to Charity Water instead of giving presents for the newborn. "Mom and baby are happy and healthy. Tyler is so excited," a source told People, adding that Perry was "over the moon".

The baby's arrival was first hinted by Bekele's best friend who also leaked the news that she was pregnant. "The love of my life has arrived," Anna Wrosetti tweeted on Sunday, adding "Auntie is the best title I've ever given."

Perry has not given any statement on his son's birth. He accidentally revealed the baby's sex earlier this fall, telling Extra, "The greatest gift I'm being given right now is the opportunity to give the little boy in me everything I never had, so that's what I'm excited about."
