U2 Reveals North American Dates of 'Innocence + Experience' Tour

The tour, launched to support the group's latest album 'Songs of Innocence', is opening with two shows at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, on May 14 and 15, 2015.

AceShowbiz - U2 is returning to the road next year. The Irish rock band announced on Wednesday, December 3 that they would be embarking on "Innocence + Experience" tour in support of their newest album, "Songs of Innocence".

Bono and Co. will kick off the tour with two shows at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, on May 14 and 15, 2015. They'll make stops in other U.S. and Canadian cities like San Jose, Los Angeles, Montreal, Toronto and New York before bringing the tour to Europe in September.

"We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two... and have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience," Bono said in a statement. "More to be revealed!"

Tickets for the North American dates will go on sale Monday, December 8 to the general public. Pre-sale tickets are available for members of U2's fan club starting on December 4 until December 6. Special shows in Dublin scheduled for late 2015 will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Innocence + Experience" tour marks U2's first since "360" which ran from 2009 through 2011. During that period, the group played 110 shows at outdoor stadiums across the world. The tour was dubbed the biggest tour in history, generating more than $736 million from 7.2 million tickets.
