The album, set for release on December 9, was named after the address of Cole's childhood home in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He revealed the existence of the project two weeks ago. "What up? My New Album is finished," he tweeted at that time.
"It's very special to me," he continued before telling fans that there wouldn't be singles to precede the arrival of the album. "See you in 3 weeks. Thank you for the love and support," he added. The announcement was accompanied by a 7-minute trailer showing him giving viewers a tour of his high school, a local restaurant and other places.
Now available for pre-order, "2014 Forest Hills Drive" follows up last year's "Born Sinner" that debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200.
