'A lot of money was stolen from me, or royalties not paid,' the rock star claimed in a video to clarify his name.

Being a rock star doesn't always mean a lavish life. Creed's frontman Scott Stapp revealed in a 15-minute video that he's broke and living out of his house.

Stapp actually was attempting to clear the air regarding the rumor that he died or on drugs. "I'm sure you've heard the many rumors and slanderous, libelous accusations over the last few weeks," Stapp said. "First, I was dead. That came out obviously that it was a hoax. Then there were rumors that I'm on drugs and drinking and relapsed and in rehab, all these other things. That's also a lie ...I'm sober as can be."

Yet, he also revealed a miserable chapter of his life. "About eight weeks ago, I began an audit of not only my record company but my personal finances," Stapp said. "During the course of that audit, a lot of things were uncovered. A lot of money was stolen from me, or royalties not paid, and that's when all hell began to break loose."

Stapp is now staying at Holiday Inn but was previously forced to live in his truck with no money to buy gas or food. "I went two days without eating because I had no money and ended up in an emergency room," he recalled.

His main concern would be the three children he shares with wife Jaclyn Stapp. The former Miss NY USA recently filed for divorce from him, alleging he disappeared from their Boca Raton, Florida home in early October. She also claimed he was "doing so much amphetamines, crystal meth and steroids that he has become a paranoid shell who has threatened to kill himself and harm his family."

Stapp is now looking for "an honest, good attorney that's ready to fight and take it all the way to the top."
