George Eads Leaving 'CSI' After 15 Seasons

The actor, who has played Nick Stokes on the crime drama series since the first episode, will exit the show at the end of the current season.

AceShowbiz - George Eads, the last original cast member of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", will leave the show after 15 seasons. The actor who has played CSI Nick Stokes since the series' pilot will quit after the current season.

According to TV Guide which first reported the news, his character's departure will be connected to the resolution of the Gig Harbor Killer case, but it's unknown whether or not Stokes will be killed off.

With Eads' impending departure, Jorja Fox will be left as the only remaining original cast member. The actress, who has played Sara Sidle since the second episode of season 1, and Eads were briefly fired from "CSI" in 2004 over salary dispute, but were later reinstated into the cast.

Eads took a leave of absence in several episodes of the 14th season after reportedly getting into an on-set altercation with a writer of the show.
