It seems like Aretha Franklin is not a fan of Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj. During an interview with Wall Street Journal to discuss her new album, "Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics", the veteran singer shared her opinion about younger divas.

Franklin first talked about Adele. "Well let's see, 'Rolling in the Deep', I liked it. When I first heard it I liked it," she said of the song which she covered for her new full-length. "I saw some of Adele's promo and a lot of young kids were on the bus, they were singing it, they were having a really, really wild good time."

She also had some nice words for Alicia Keys. "Young performer, good writer, producer," she said of the "We Are Here" singer. However, she didn't have too many words to say about other superstars like Swift and Minaj.

When asked about what she thought about Swift, Franklin only said that the 24-year-old entertainer, who recently broke multiple records with her latest album "1989", had "great gowns, beautiful gowns."

Franklin even had nothing to say about Minaj. "I'm going to pass on that one," she said.
