Heidi Klum turned into a butterfly this Halloween. The mother of four was unrecognizable wearing a very detailed colorful costume and vibrant makeup to imitate the insect. She celebrated the spooky holiday with her celebrity friends in the Big Apple. "I love you, NYC, and all of the amazing, creative people here! Have a happy and safe Halloween #HKHalloween," she tweeted.

Among the guests at the annual party hosted by the "Project Runway" judge were actor Benjamin McKenzie and actress Michelle Trachtenberg. The former seemed to channel his inner Carl from the animated movie "Up" with his white hair, moustache, and vintage glasses. The latter rocked a white-face makeup and held a big lollipop.

Klum is known for her over-the-top costumes. She was once covered in fur head-to-toe as she dressed up as ape with then-husband Seal. Another of her memorable Halloween looks was in 2011 when she was wheeled into her party on an autopsy table by blood-spattered doctors. She got her whole body airbrushed to look like "a dead body with the first layer of skin ripped off" back then. Last year, she transformed into an old woman with wrinkled skin.
