The 'Party in the U.S.A.' hitmaker dropped a whooping $300,000 on a photo of a naked woman and donated another $200,000 to the AIDS research organization.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus explained why she spent $500,000 at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 29. "I'm a little drunk," she said on stage after bidding $300,000 on a print of a naked woman by photographer Ryan McGinley, "That's why I'm a half a million deep."
The "Wrecking Ball" singer then talked about her new role as the 2015 spokesperson for MAC Cosmetics' Viva Glam line. "If I'm going to have a voice I would like to start an open dialogue about prevention and awareness and how people in the world have been effected by HIV and AIDS," she shared.
"Hopefully, I could break down people's walls that have been built up around sexuality," Miley continued, "I'm obviously not too embarrassed to talk about these things, especially with young people."
Miley also donated another $200,000 to the AIDS research organization. Designer Tom Ford, the event's honoree, and Rihanna also donated the same amount. According to previous report, RiRi also spent $135,000 on a Harry Winston diamond link earrings and an "Elizabeth Taylor at the Eden Roc" photograph by Willy Rizzo during the event.
In another memorable moment during the event, Gwyneth Paltrow took the stage to introduce a surprise performance by her estranged husband Chris Martin and his Coldplay bandmate Jonny Buckland. "This brilliant singer-songwriter has sold 8 million records and has won every award imaginable including father of the year, which he has won consecutively since 2004!" the "Iron Man" actress told the audience.
As Chris took the stage, he joked that he and Jonny were Justin Bieber and Justin Timberlake. "We are 'Bieber and Timberlake,' " he told the crowd, "And we play Coldplay covers just for money. So you are very privileged to be here to watch us do this, because normally we play Bieber and Timberlake songs."
