A source says that the 'Hunger Games' actress thought her relationship with the Coldplay frontman 'wasn't worth it' because he's still very close to his estranged wife.

Gwyneth Paltrow is apparently the reason behind Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin's split. Multiple sources told PEOPLE that the "Silver Linings Playbook" actress found the Coldplay frontman's relationship with his estranged wife hard to understand as they're still very close despite the fact they consciously uncoupled back in March.
"Everyone jumped the gun with this romance. It is hard for her to understand the feelings between Chris and Gwyneth," a source told the site. Another source additionally confirmed that Lawrence was the one who wanted to break up with Martin.
"She broke it off with Chris," the source explained. "She was tired of the spotlight on their relationship and she also thought that Chris and Gwyneth were a little too close for comfort. It was an odd situation for her."
Lawrence, 24, and Martin,37, ended their relationship after just four months of dating. "It was kind of serious but also not really in a sense," the source added. "It was really just [Lawrence] having fun and living in the moment, enjoying time with someone she likes, but [Martin and Paltrow's] close relationship got to her in the end and she felt like it wasn't worth it."
