Red's fans can now rest assured. Lorraine Toussaint's Vee is not going to return for the third season of "Orange Is the New Black" despite report saying otherwise. A rep for Netflix sets things straight as telling Us Weekly, "She is not going to be in season 3."

Earlier report by TMZ said that Toussaint would be reporting for filming Tuesday morning, October 28 in New York, although the future was murky for Vee following the season 2 finale. In the last episode, [SPOILER ALERT!] she was hit with the prison's van by cancer patient Miss Rosa (Barbara Rosenblat).

Toussaint is currently starring on ABC's "Forever". Back in June, she coyly responded to a question about her character's fate on "OITNB", "Is Vee dead? Is she not? Is she dead? Is Vee dead? You never know. It's Jenji Kohan, so you never know..."

At the Emmys, the actress told E! that she believed Vee's dead, but didn't rule out her possible return. "I believe she's dead. She's dead. And she's such a survivor, it wouldn't surprise me," she said, "I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't dead because I don't have much control over her...she's pretty dead...but it is Vee."
