Kanye West reportedly gave up on a chance to become the highest-paid act to perform in Las Vegas. According to TMZ, the rapper was offered to play nine shows, three concerts a week for three weeks, at the Axis at Planet Hollywood for $4.5 million.

That means, he could make $500,000 per show and easily beat Celine Dion and Britney Spears who pocket $495,000 and $475,000 per show, respectively. West, however, wasn't interested in the deal and he turned it down.

The report of West being offered that much money for playing only nine gigs came just days after TMZ said that Jennifer Lopez could join Spears at the Axis. Last week, the site claimed the "Booty" singer was close to inking a multi-million residency deal at the venue.

The "American Idol" judge is offered to play 72 shows, three times a week for 24 weeks over a one or two year period, which will guarantee her $26.3 million.
