Gillian Jacobs and Leighton Meester are best friends until there are three. The first trailer of "Life Partners" explores the BFF's relationship after one of them finds a soul mate and they start to grow apart.

Jacobs' Paige is a straight girl who is joint at the hips with Meester's lesbian Sasha. One day Paige meets Tim, played by Meester's real-life husband Adam Brody, and the bond between Paige and Sasha starts to change. "You still talk to someone at two in the morning, nothing changed for you, it just changed for me. Can you acknowledge that, please?" Sasha tells Paige.

Suddenly without a "partner," Sasha is left to examine her own shortcomings and panic about her impending 30th birthday. Passive-aggressive conflict brews in their friendship until the girls must finally confront the question they've been avoiding: can their friendship survive growing up?

"Life Partners" premiered at Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year. It will hit iTunes and VOD November 6 and arrive in theaters December 5.
