Randy Jackson and his wife Erika are divorcing after nearly 19 years of marriage, TMZ reports. The former ballet dancer filed paperwork Friday, September 26 in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. She is asking to restore her name to Erika Riker.
Erika listed September 11 as the date of their separation. They have two children together, daughter Zoe, 19, and son Jordan, 17. She is seeking a full physical custody and joint legal custody of their youngest child. She is also asking for spousal support and payment of legal fees.
The couple tied the knot in 1995 after meeting on the set of a music video shoot. It was a second marriage for him. The 58-year-old music producer has a daughter from his previous marriage.
He served as a judge on "American Idol" for 12 seasons and left last year, but he continued to be a part of the show as an in-house mentor.
